This contest is part of Hexer's University 2024! The theme: Rocketships!

Rules

• One entry per person
• Please follow the theme, but you can interpret it however you wish
• Any kind of petz hexing is allowed
• You must demonstrate a new hexing skill with your hex. This can be a completely new kind of hexing, or an aspect of a type of hexing you're familiar with that you've never tried before
• Remember to include information about what the new skill you learnt was!
• Winner is decided by popular vote. Votes will be based on how well the new skills are demonstrated
• Visit the event channel in the discord for more information!

• 1st place; the choice between a hex from Ignis, a hex from Celia, or a bred litter from Harry

I have been learning lots of new skills but they're in babyz so I couldn't enter, but there is a space event coming up on milk....


Hex Name: two perfectly normal kittens!
New Skill Demonstrated: the new skill I used was [Z Shade Slope], a thing Megan shared with me a couple days ago that she learned from queenie, thanks to both of them!!! I didn't know what z shade was or what those headers did before, but if you put this:
in your lnz when you're hexing, texturable colors don't shift shades! which makes textures with texturable colors in their mix of colors much more usable!
this was also my first time making antennae :)
and fun fact I've now reached a point of staring at this that I can't even see the eyes as unusual, of course that's just what eyes look like! help!

Hex Name: Strangetown Labs
New Skill Demonstrated: I've been curious about the addgroup section in [Addballs] ever since I saw the emoticon petz on Carolyn's site way back when - you know, the ones that have addballs appear out of the blue whenever the pet gets excited (most easily achieved by putting them in a basket, apparently!) So I decided to try it myself and see how it's done! Turns out, this is also easy - just a matter of making the addballs and then changing a single number per addball that you want to appear! Now these guys have a little UFO pop up to follow them around when they get excited! I think this is a more niche feature, but I can still think of plenty of cute uses for it!
