hi, hello welcome to my first hexing challenge.
your objective is to create a hex featuring... ADDBALL WHISKAS yay.

The Rules
you may use any base you'd like, this includes dogz, catz, babyz or even oddballz. brexing is also allowed.
you cannot use basegame whiskers, you have to make your own.
what constitutes as whiskers will be left up to the hexers discretion, though.
you may use external textures, palettes, or premade bases (but whiskers have to be done by you!)
there will not be a vote at the end-- i'd like to see if scuffing the voting makes people more inclined to give it a shot.
however! ALL participants will receive a custom of one of my Coterie Cats (pictured)

deadline is tentatively September 15th, may be shortened if there is little interest.

This is my very first catz hexie! I've always been a dogz hexer and wanted to get out of my comfort zone. The base is my favorite catz breed, the Russian Blue. With my entry I didn't want to just include whiskers but I wanted them to be the main focus of the cat. There was no plan the whole way through except...whiskers. This was definitely an unplanned litter. The whiskers just ended up getting longer and longer and then became uneven...then I just had to add a few stray hairs everywhere and now this cat looks like it's had quite the stressful life, but they're trying their best! As a kitten they start off with normal whiskers that grow longer as the cat ages. The cat gets more and more dishevelled looking as the whiskers and extra stray hairs grow in.

This is a Sunwhisker! The whiskers are meant to be kind of like the sun's rays... Hence the name lol Uses a custom palette that I made for it. I used bumpy colour ramps and a mix of anchored and unanchored paintballs to make the colours a bit more dynamic, reminiscent of fire.


I decided to do a version with the default palette as well!

hexed off of silverfish's alley oshie base! moving the ballz for the whiskers into place took a lot of concentration and I'm glad to have learned how to do something new, and im totally not intimidated by addball whiskers now! I don't know anything about nose shines yet so the little white "shine" on his nose is a curved line of white addballz.

I made a chihuahua! It's my first hexie with a palette (uses the Space palette by Queenie). I made the texture myself from the basegame wizard.bmp (and a tabby stripe so it's not so flat). There's snout whiskers, eyebrow whiskers and ear tip whiskers hehe

Magical little creature. Kinda fox-like even though that wasn't really intentional heh. Very smol and cute as a pubby :3

This dog is inspired by a drawing I came across in my sketchbook while looking for inspo hehe. I really love how she turned out, one of my new favorite petz for sure.
