You can host your pose shows any way you like. The most common shows are as follows:

• Standard Pose Shows
  • 10 entries, 2 per person
  • 5 placements

• Everybody Wins (EBW) Pose Shows
  • 5 entries, 1 per person
  • 5 placements

Points
Points awarded per placement unless otherwise stated in the show

• Best In Show (BIS): 5 points
• 1st Place: 4 points
• 2nd Place: 3 points
• 3rd Place: 2 points
• Honorable Mention (HM): 1 point

Feel free to do larger shows, breed-specific shows, etc. Awards are always fun but not necessary. I have pose ribbons and blank award templates available on Filthy Hippie.

Consider setting a cut off date of a week or two if the show scene is slow at the moment, such as "show closes at 10 entries or on April 1st, whichever happens first".
