This contest is part of Hexer's University 2024! The theme: Rainbows!

Rules

• One entry per person
• Please follow the theme, but you can interpret it however you wish
• Any kind of petz hexing is allowed
• You must demonstrate a new hexing skill with your hex. This can be a completely new kind of hexing, or an aspect of a type of hexing you're familiar with that you've never tried before
• Remember to include information about what the new skill you learnt was!
• Winner is decided by popular vote. Votes will be based on how well the new skills are demonstrated
• Visit the event channel in the discord for more information!

• 1st place; the choice between a hex from Ignis, a hex from Celia, or a bred litter from Harry
• 2nd place; a bred litter from Harry

Woo new skill unlocked haha! Honestly took me a while to come up with a list of things I haven't done at least once - but here's the first, a P4 case skin - in pastel rainbow colors <3

Hex name: Leviathan
New skill demonstrated: I've had an idea for a while to try to make a sea creature with fins that move in unison. I did this by getting rid of one of the front legs and building an addball limb off the remaining one so that the animation would show both 'legs' moving forwards and back at the same time. So the Leviathan 'paddles' with both front flippers instead of doing a 'walking' motion. Repurposing the body parts of a hex to change the animation in this way is something I have never tried before. To take this a bit further, I drew inspiration from the way that lobsters swim and also repurposed a hind leg to make the 'tail' so that the Leviathan can 'pump' itself along! Is he rainbow enough? I don't know... But that's what I was going for with the colour scheme.

Hex Name: TW Diner
New Skill Demonstrated: Now, I've made playscenes before, so this multicolored diner is not in and of itself the skill... the new skill is on the walls! Or off them, depending on your preference! I've never made playscene parts that interact upon clicking before, but for this scene, I thought I'd make it so that users can remove/add/mix and match the posters on the wall as they pleased, even hanging frames of their own up there if they want! I can see myself using this one a lot in the future to add little fun things and easter eggs to different scenes! (I know, I know, stretching the definition of rainbow on this one, but technically the diner as a whole has a spectrum of bright colors, right?)
