- Maximum sables may have base colour dots above the eyes
- When a breed accepts degrees variations of sable, markings may be between the maximum shading for the lighter variety and the minimum for the heavier variety
- When a breed accepts degrees variations of grizzle, markings may be between the maximum shading for the lighter variety and the minimum for the heavier variety
- When urajiro bleaches markings with a tipping texture, it is optional to have the tipping texture on the urajiro
