AOM: Starling Frost Meets Flame

Notes: handsome flame point tom was my best of breed today, the alignment gives an overall balanced impression. i appreciate the related coloration of the ivory body colour against red points. best of opposite sex had great presence in the ring today, the pigmented nose compliments the tortie point well. my AOM today would have been my BOS had my BOB not been also male.

Notes: nice selection of different files entered; was scrutinizing heavily between the first two to take the best of breed, came down to personal preference and immediate impression. could've easily gone the other way on a different day! my AOM came down to two of the same file, ultimately selected due to tighter tail curvature, a prouder stance and fur fuzz that appeared a tad more kempt.

Notes: best of breed was settled on quickly, great tidy presentation of this lithe tortie girl with clean lines. picking BOS was challenging as all males had aspects of their presentation i enjoyed but also all had minor (different) compromises, chosen male had pleasant svelte outline i associate with the breed. wished to have placed AOM higher, but both being female had to settle with an AOM.

Notes: lovely variety of cats. crisply presented overall. strong BOB and BOS, pleasant symmetry of the male bicolour.

Notes: one of my favourite breeds with tough ring. best of breed was balanced, presented in a flattering manner. looking at alignment & stance primarily, evenness in the face and overall impression.

Notes: wow, insanely competitive ring of wonderfully patterned & posed seychellois. placed individuals had great presence in the ring & are presented well. several deserving catz in this breed group.

Notes: great poses all around in the breed. pose of aom female is especially lovely, was a strong contender for best of breed.

Notes: lots of lovely catz in this ring, great expressions across the board.

Notes: fun ring! i love seeing hexed pfm jbobs make an appearance. by nature jbob noses can look funny in an ideal pose, but i'm looking at alignment, overall carriage and balance to the facial features. placed catz had strong poses and great expressions.

Notes: such a cute breed ring with strong entries. with this file not having several body part variations, each cat was compared across each other. with breed such as this, given their solid white coats key differentiation comes down to alignment and overall quality of the pose with an even expression. tail as curled in as possible ideal. this breed ring was placed under lots of judging scrutiny, so congrats to those placed!

Notes: this breed is so fun. many fantastic entries, the best of breed was a total standout. lots of other great males too, if best of breed hadn't been the same sex.

Notes: another breed with solid colour uniformity - looking for attentiveness in posing over specific colouration; this is reflected in pose alignment, ball rolls (particularly of the mouth in this breed). lots of male contenders for bob, not many queens in this ring.

Notes: once again with the little variation in the pfm RB, it heavily comes down to pose! first criteria was alignment, followed by tail then breathing point. placed catz were presented very well!

Notes: i love this breed personally. lots of strong contenders for best of breed, a female-dominated ring! great poses - looking at least obscurity of the eyes by ball rolls, alignment, coloration, proud stance.

Notes: desired markers in alley poses for me are angry or level eyelids (scared eyelids undesired), alignment/breathing of course & as close/curled tail curvature as possible towards the dorsum. specific tail variation nor skinniness factored in! a very stunning BOB.

Notes: the competition is so insanely tough with these grexes! alignment was the first criterion, even so it was difficult to narrow down to 4 placements.

Notes: great poses from the three placed, uniformity across the colour made comparisons easier for me as a judge, and highlighted any misalignment faults within the breed where there was any!

Notes: i love toybobs! was looking at levelness in expression, overall balance - they have a compact square body and jankiness in proportions from pose can be very accentuated as a result. very pleased with the catz placed.
